What can I do to keep my child’s teeth healthy?

  • If your child takes a bottle to bed avoid putting your child to sleep with anything other than water
  • Once teeth start to appear start brushing at least twice a day with a smear (half a pea) of fluoride toothpaste
  • Restrict juice to mealtime and no more than 6 oz.
  • Make a dental appointment for your child at the age of 1
  • Supervise children’s brushing until 8 years old
  • Brush after every meal
